Went to Ebony Horsewomen to speak with Patricia Kelly to talk about future plans
We came to the conclusions dueto COVID that we won't be able to work with one another

Been communicating with Ms. Prescott and Ms. Griffin about bringing and therapy dog into the school and possible activities with the middle schoolers about the importance of mental health
I came up with the idea of making a presentation for the middle schoolers and coordinating from home for the dog therapy session that will take place in school

Google met with Ms. Prescott and Ms. Boutilier about future plans. Discussed about the therapy dog (Sophie) and her handler (Jan Proll), will be reaching out to introduce myself and discuss plans for meeting with the kids in the month of April, first week of may
We will have to find a way to give virtual students benefits also

Emailing Ms. Proll on possible dates when she and Sophie to come in and meet with the students due to the fact that she meet with other children throughout the day
The possible dates we came up with were April 19th, April 26th, and May 10th

Emailing Ms. Prescott, Ms. Griffin. Ms. Boutilier, and Ms. Proll in response to the MOU between the Tails of Joy and HPS was approved by the district
The only dates that were approved were April 26th and May 10th due to April 19th was the day that the students were returning from spring break

Google Meet with Ms. Prescott, Ms. Griffin, and Ms. Boutilier on how I should come up with possible groups to attend each session and what times will work best with the middle schoolers and Ms. Proll’s schedule
Came to the conclusion that we will have 3 groups (8 students at a time for 15 minutes) times will be between 11:30-12:30

Google Meet with Ms. Griffin, Ms. Prescott, and Middle School Student Council and explained my Capstone and asking possible ways how’d they like to give back to the Tails of Joy organization also, how we should come up with groups
We came to the conclusion that one group will be the Student Council and will have a dress down to raise money for the Tails of Joy. Then one group will be chosen by the staff and we will have a raffle to see what the other group will be (get tickets for attendance, good behavior, following CDC guidelines, etc)

Emailing Ms. Prescott to finalize the details regarding Ms. Proll and Sophie, to see if I can attend the sessions, the order of how we will introduce our guest, how to keep the kids safe during the sessions
I was approved to attend the sessions which is very exciting to me. I will introduce my capstone and why I chose to do what I am doing that day. Next introduce Ms. Proll and Sophie, letting 2 kids at a time to interact with Sophie and sanitizing after while she entertain the students by answering any questions they have during the session

First day of meeting the students with Sophie and Ms. Proll, sanitized everything before and after each group
Was a great first session, everything went well. Was recommended by Ms. Boutilier to talk about what occurs in the brain when an introduction with a dog occurs
May 10th

Second day meeting the students with Sophie and Ms. Proll, made sure everything that was used and where the kids sat was sanitized before and after the session
Made sure that the endorphins in the brain was talked about with the student, great session took place
